Roadrunners Lacrosse Stomp CU Denver


A couple of nights after the Roadrunners lacrosse team dominated the Colorado School of Mines by a final score of 15-3, the Roadrunners lacrosse team would continue with their winning ways as they would run over the CU Denver Lynx by a final score of 13-5.

One of the players for the Roadrunners who would have a memorable night would be Anthony SanFilippo, who would come away with a six-point night, as he would register 5 goals and add one assist in the game, taking over team with 12 points in two games.

The first quarter of the game would completely belong to the Roadrunners, as they would score four goals in the quarter, getting up to the quick 4-1 lead. Following the first quarter, the Roadrunners would add four more goals and shut out the Lynx to go up to the quick 8-1 lead before the halftime intermission.

Coming back from halftime, the Roadrunners would slow down a bit, as the Lynx would outscore the Roadrunners 2-1 in an attempt to get them back into the game. However, the Roadrunners would kick things back up a notch in the final quarter of the game, as they would out score the Lynx 4-to-2 to walk away with the 13-5 victory.

With the victory, the Roadrunners improve their record to 2-0 on the season, where up next they will be traveling to California during Spring break where they will be taking on California State Fullerton University on Tuesday, March 21st. During this California visit, the Roadrunners will also be playing the likes of the University of San Diego, and Concordia University.
