The Film Crew Podcast: The Discovery, By Charlie McDowell

Listen to The Film Crew talk about a hot new movie in a Spoiler Free episode! The Discovery is a new release from Netflix. It was released March 31, 2017. The premise of the film is fairly simple; The afterlife is proven to exist when a scientist played by Robert Redford proves that there is another plane of existence. Subsequently, 4 million people decide to commit suicide in order to “get there”. Jason Segel plays the scientist’s son, Will, who meets a woman named Isla, played by Rooney Mara. The film follows Will and Isla as they deal with the troubles of their pasts and learn more about what the afterlife contains. Jason Segel gives an outstanding performance in this drama/mystery/romance. The Discovery was written by Justin Lader and Charlie McDowell, and directed by Charlie McDowell.

If you would like to watch the movie trailer of The Discovery, it can be found here. Be warned! We believe the trailer shows too much of the movie.
